Jennie Sutcliffe

Jennie began her insurance career over 25 years ago on a 3 year training programme at The Royal Insurance Company. After 17 years broking experience Jennie provides her existing clients with expert advice, delivered in a professional and friendly manner, always going the extra mile Jennie never takes her clients for granted and they renew their business year after year.
Jennie has a young family and lives in Worcestershire, she enjoys letting off steam in the gym and swimming. Spare time is spent enjoying meals out, supporting her sons and daughters football teams and travelling.
Paul Thompson
ACII - Director
Paul began his insurance career in 1972 and formed Paul Thompson & Co in August 1987. Paul is proud to be part of Thompson Insurance and brings with him a wealth of experience.
Paul prides himself on giving both a professional and personal service to his clients which is rewarded with some client relationships of in excess of twenty years.
In his spare time Paul enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, live music and supporting Birmingham City FC – let’s face it they need all the help they can get!
Baljit Thompson
Director
Baljit began her insurance career in 1978 starting as a junior. After many years of working hard Baljit purchased her own Insurance Broking business in 1992 and eventually merged with Paul Thompson in 1997.
Baljit’s current role at Thompson Insurance includes client servicing, managing the day to day running of the office and building strong relationships with insurers and clients alike.
Baljit can be relied on to give a professional service and is supported by her team which has been constant for many years.
In her spare time Baljit enjoys going to the gym, reading, travelling and trying new places to eat – one of her favourite eating experiences has to be dining at the Fat Duck Restaurant!
Jeeven Purewal
Cert CII - Business Development Exec.
Jeeven began his insurance career in 2002 at Thompson Rudd based in Edgbaston and has remained working for Paul & Baljit Thompson since. Jeeven strives to give clients an efficient service and likes to build long-term relationships with both clients and insurers alike.
2014 was a good year for Jeeven when he not only became a father for the first time but passed his CII exams.
In his spare time Jeeven enjoys being a dad to both his daughter and son, going to the gym and socialising with his family and friends
Caroline Walford
Client Servicing
Caroline began her insurance career in 1980 working for David Swift an Independent Insurance Broker based in Castle Bromwich. Caroline spent 20 happy years working with David Swift until his retirement in 2000 when he sold the business to Paul Thompson.
Caroline joined the team at Thompson Rudd in 2000 and has remained working for Paul & Baljit Thompson since.
Caroline enjoys looking after a wide variety of clients and prides herself on giving a professional and efficient service to all.Caroline enjoys working with her colleagues in a warm and friendly atmosphere and in her spare time enjoys walking, reading, going to the cinema and spending time with her family and friends.
Suneeta Bassi
Cert CII - Claims Manger
Suneeta began her insurance career in 2007 at Thompson Rudd based in Edgbaston following completion of her Psychology degree and has remained working for Paul & Baljit Thompson since.
Suneeta is our Claims Manager and strives to give clients an efficient service at all times. Suneeta passed her CII exams in 2014.
In her spare time Suneeta enjoys going to the gym and socialising with her family and friends.
Mary Freemantle
Financial Controller
Mary has been working in accounts since leaving school, initially working in a bank before moving to the finance department at a large delivery and logistics company.
In 2005 Mary started working for Thompson Rudd and has remained working for Paul & Baljit Thompson since. Mary provides an efficient service and is our go to lady for all account queries! Mary’s partner, Tony, is a drummer in a band and Mary enjoys live music and going to gigs with Tony. Mary likes to travel and counts Portmeirion in Wales as one of her favourite places to relax and unwind.
Adam Thompson
Cert CII – Development Manager
Adam join the family business in 2011 bringing with him a wealth of sales experience. Adam’s main role is orchestrating new business for the company where he relishes forming new relationships with clients.
Adam passed his CII exams in 2017.
2019 was a massive year for Adam, he was lucky enough to represent England Over 35’s Hockey Team at the European Championships in Rotterdam and the Home Nations in Glasgow, winning Gold at both.
In his spare time, if Adam isn’t with his partner Michelle and there two boys (Ray & George), then you’ll find him playing hockey for Harborne Hockey Club.
Sarah Thompson
Client Servicing
Sarah has joined the family business and has a wealth of experience in customer services and sales
Sarah’s role is carrying out administration and account handling
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family & friends and going to the gym
